If you are a fan of Tupac Shakur, this is a must-have purchase for you. The late rapper’s 1991 debut album, 2Pacalypse Now, will get reissued on vinyl and cassette for the first time in celebration of its 25th anniversary.

The vinyl package comes in a double LP gatefold and pressed on 180-gram vinyl at renowned record plant, RTI. The cassette version boasts the original booklet from 1991 featuring the original photos and artwork covering 2Pac’s rise in the rap game.

The reissue of 2Pacalypse Now comes at a good time in light of recent events regarding politics and social issues facing Black america. 2Pac addressed racism, police brutality and teenage pregnancy on his stellar debut album.

Among the standout tracks on the collection include “Trapped,” which deals with police brutality and “Brenda’s Got a Baby,” which is a heartfelt story about a young girl living in the ghetto and incapable of supporting a baby on her own. But 2Pac delivers fiery messages of resistance on “I Don’t Give a F—” and “Words of Wizdom.”

The vinyl copy of 2Pacalypse Now is available for purchase for $25.98, while the cassettes version retails at $8.98. Both are available at respecttheclassics.com.
