Fresh off inking his deal with J. Cole’s Dreamville label, J.I.D. is already being productive, dropping visuals for the Quentin Miller-assisted “M.O.M.,” off Spillage Village’s Bears Like This Too Much.
In the beginning of the clip, the Atlanta rhymer and Miller arrive at a strange looking house and are greeted by a lady holding a snake. Once they go inside, they meet up with some women for a little hanky-panky, and one of them goes to the bedroom with J.I.D.
Most of the video is covered in a dull red tint and between the color, the snakes and the spooky looking house, there’s a definite horror vibe to the scenes, albeit a subtle one. Recently, J.I.D. chopped it up with XXL about his new Dreamville deal, and he explained how he met J. Cole.
“EarthGang went on tour with Ab-Soul a few years ago,” he said. “I went with them, just doing a song and performing and Bas was there. That’s how the relationship started. Meanwhile, I met Cedric Brown, a close friend with Cole, and me and Cedric were cool organically, just getting high with the homies.
