XXXTentacion to Donate $100,000 to Women’s Rights Organizations: ‘I Want to Apologize to Every Single Woman That I’ve Ever Disrespected’
XXXTentacion is trying to clean up his act and make amends for his past mistakes. On Friday (Oct. 20), the Floridian rapper went on his Instagram page to announce that he’s donating $100,000 to women’s rights organizations.
In his open letter on Instagram Live (spotted by HotNewHipHop), X addressed his new deal with Capitol Music Group and his past transgressions with women he’s been in contact with. He wrote:
I want to apologize to every single woman that I’ve ever disrespected or made feel violated…I would never intentionally try to make a woman feel uncomfortable or in danger by my own conscious will so in order to show progress in my life and remorse for my remark to the people that support me I want to let you know, that I will be donating over 100 thousand dollars, to domestic violence prevention programs.”
Although X never directly addresses his own allegations in an ongoing domestic abuse case, the “Look at Me” rapper urged men to respect women. “Protect the ladies!!!! They play a more important role than men currently in this world,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, XXXTentacion has signed a major deal with Capitol Music Group’s subsidiary label, Caroline.
“All the people at Capitol are wonderful people, I’ve sat down and had personal conversations with them and [their] energy is fire,” X wrote in his open letter about the Captiol deal. “I also favor Englishman and Steve Barnett is exactly that so how could I not work with him?”
