The Adam Noah – Habitat EP
Adam Noah is an artist from the Bronx. He started writing music at the early age of six. Before he was into Hip-Hop, Adam loved rock and heavy metal. He cites Slipknot, the Beatles, Green Day and Sum 41 as major influences. Growing up, his older brother would play BIG, Wu Tang and Nas while cleaning his childhood home. The exposure to these legends made Noah want to learn more about the culture. Using an old Dell desktop computer, Adam would research artists like Eminem, Mos Def, Snoop Dogg, Big Pun and much more. His freshman year of high school he started producing his own beats, but it wasn’t until the death of a close uncle that he started writing religiously.
He returns with his second full length project, Habitat EP. The different schemes, tightened flows, and solid production really bring this project together. Adam says, “the goal was to have a cowboy from Texas somehow relate to this.” He believes that this country’s population is so polarized, we need to find similarities between our “Habitats.” The young kid from the Bronx sees deaths and overdoses in the suburbs, while black on black crime is televised. Throughout the project, you will hear the numerous influences of an individual coming from the home of Hip-Hop. Adam shows his listeners that he is here for a greater purpose.
