Sevyn Streeter and Luke James Reimagine Lauryn Hill's 'Nothing Even Matters' [LISTEN]
Sevyn Streeter is on her promotional grind for her upcoming album, Girl Disrupted, which drops later this year. So for Valentine’s Day, the R&B superstar treated her fans with a special reworking of Lauryn Hill’s love ballad, “Nothing Even Matters” from her classic album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.
Sevyn enlisted the help of Luke James to cover D’Angelo’s part on the classic duet and he does an excellent job. Both singers deliver a delicate yet soulful reworking of the L-Boogie song.
Sevyn posted the song for her female fans who are single and happy (like herself) on V-Day. The 30-year-old singer also posted several photos on her Instagram page of things she did on the holiday, which included reading a good book, eating chocolates and sipping champagne.
But don’t get it twisted she’s still on grind mode. Last month, she dropped her latest single “Fallen” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Cam Wallace.
