Rapper ‘Big Mo’ Switches Up the Flow With New Single, ‘Falling 4 U’

By Al Gill Chenault

The beauty of hip hop is that the genre is inclusive. Hip hop is a vibe. From trap to backpack rap to drill, there are fresh emerging sounds that keep it popping. One new burst of energy comes in the way of rapper, Big Mo who recently dropped a dope track entitled, “Falling 4 U”.  On the song (perfect for the late-night playlist), even though the music industry has its perks when it comes to access to top notch females, Mo finds himself falling for one particular girl. He spits, “got me falling for you, I can’t even lie.”

Even with the catchy hook and melodic beat, “Falling 4 U” maintains a real chill vibe. No drill high hats or boom-boom-bat on in this one. In fact, the xylophone instrumentation and drum patterns give-off a subtle Caribbean island music feel.  This innovative musicianship not lost on the emcee. His fans appreciate what he’s bringing to the game right now. His last single, “Broken” ft. Ye Ali has been streamed a quarter of a million times. But this track is different. Big Mo switched up the flow and the mood. But what both songs have in common is the emcee’s signature laid back flow, crispy lyrics, and fresh beat.

“Get freaky for me; take off ya damn thong”

“Falling 4 U” sits at the crossroads of where reggae meets rap and have a hard-hitting lovechild.  This song can be blasted in a dancehall or streamed in a basement. It’s that heavy. Big Mo’s sound on this one hits like British rapper, Stormzy’s hit from late Autumn, “Rainfall”.

“She lovin’ my persona; man sicker than Rona…”

The song’s lyrics have that wavy, indie underground rap edge. He says what he wants, and listeners get raw authenticity.

There’s a real cool energy flowing through this track, and it’s well put together and playlist ready. “Fallin 4 U” is definitely worth a listen!
