Pharrell Drops Infectious New Single ‘Yellow Light’ for ‘Despicable Me 3′ Soundtrack [LISTEN]
Pharrell just blessed the world with a brand new song for the Despicable Me 3 soundtrack called “Yellow Light,” and it could be one of those cuts that you’ll hear all summer long.
The newly released tune is the third song the Virginia producer made for the franchise, of course “Happy” being the last, which put him in another stratosphere of fame and adoration. On “Yellow Light,” Pharrell comes up with another memorable chorus that’ll probably have children and adults dancing and singing along.
“We don’t care for no trouble / We just want to get in / Let’s make out like we’re lovers / So much for taking it slow, now everybody knows,” he sings before the hook arrives.
The new single comes shortly after he rocked the crowd at the Roots Picnic on Saturday (June 3), where Lil Wayne was a no-show.
Just a few days ago, Pharrell gifted an eight-year-old leukemia patient with free tickets to his Cincinnati show and put the child and his family up in a fancy hotel. He also secured a private car that drove them to the concert.
You can listen to a snippet of the “Yellow Light” single here, before Despicable Me 3 lands in theaters on June 30.
