No More Struggle: Joe Budden Is Joining Forces With Diddy To Take His Talents To TV.

Joe Budden has landed his latest television venture. It has been announced that MC-turned-media personality has partnered with Puff Daddy’s REVOLT for a summer 2018 talk show titled State Of The Culture. In addition to hosting, Budden co-created the series and will produce. The news and culture round-up is slated to feature guests.

“It was important to partner with a company that recognizes the growing need for our voices and ideas to stream freely without interruption. That was a much prettier way to say, we bout to be with the sh*ts,” said Joe Budden in a press statement. “Thank you to my business partner Ian Schwartzman and REVOLT for the opportunity to highlight my brutal honesty, passion and integrity.  I love revolting. Together, we will continue to take this thing to heights unseen.”

Meanwhile, Puffy welcomed Budden to his network family. “Finally, Joe Budden is officially part of the REVOLT family. Joe has an authentic approach, and he’s never afraid to speak the truth. His many talents deserve a platform that pushes the culture forward, and we are excited to produce next-level content with him.”

A source at REVOLT tells Billboard, “State of the Culture will look to ‘deliver raw, unfiltered, and informative debates and interviews where Budden digs deep with prominent celebrities, artists, and personalities.’”

In addition to a 20-plus-year music career, Budden is a veteran of television. He appeared on VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: New York in a featured role, and a cast member on Couples Therapy. Joe launched his eponymous podcast, which has gone to weekly video as part his long-established Joe Budden TV channel. Additionally, the Slaughterhouse MC was a founding co-host on Everyday Struggle. He left the Complex talk show with Nadeska Alexis and DJ Akademiks at the end of the year it launched, amidst public contract negotiations. Star (aka Troi Torain), the host added to the weekday series after Joe’s exit, announced his own exit just days ago.

Previously, Budden worked with REVOLT alongside Charlamagne Tha God in the 2017 new years special, This Year Was Dope/Trash. That has since had more than 1.2 million plays on YouTube.

Variety reported last week that REVOLT laid off one-third of its then-150 employees in company restructuring. Combs’ network currently broadcasts The Breakfast Club morning show.

Joe’s latest venture comes at a period where he has publicly stated a hiatus from music. Last month, his Slaughterhouse crew called it quits following an announced departure by KXNG Crooked (fka Crooked I).
