Logic Responds to Joyner Lucas on ‘Bobby Tarantino II’ Track ‘Yuck’ [LISTEN]

Logic has dropped his new mixtape, Bobby Tarantino II, on Friday (March 9). The 13-song collection features guest appearances from Big Sean, Wiz Khalifa, 2 Chainz and others, and boast previously-released “Everyday” and “44 More.”

One of the standout tracks on the mixtape is the 6ix-produced song “Yuck,” which is Logic’s response track to Joyner Lucas“Look Alive (Remix)” where he lyrically slammed for his song “Everybody.”

Over a spacey, bass-heavy beat, Logic aims lyrical darts at Lucas and says that he’s envious of his success.

“Talkin’ shit ’bout Logic, I never respond / I’ll let success talk, ’cause a word of advice / More achievements for yourself and less talk / Cats beef with Logic, yeah, they prayin’ I respond / If I ever did, I dead you in this game with no respawn,” he spits. “Peace, love and positivity, that’s all I want with you / But you push the issue ’cause I give you more press than your publicist could ever get you / Hell nah, fuck rap, fuck beef, anyone that hate me, I wish you success.”

He then adds, “I bet that if I never picked up the mic then we might be homies / But you are jealous / You look at my life and you feel envy / Constantly comparing yourself to me and feel empty.”

Lucas has been beefing with Logic ever since the two appeared on Tech N9ne’s 2016 track “Sriracha.” Last year on Complex’s web show Everyday Struggle, Lucas explained his issue with the Maryland-based rapper. “I think he can rap. But I feel like he tries to prove that he’s black too much for me,” he said.

Joyner Lucas has not yet responded to Logic’s “Yuck” song, but expect something from the Massachusetts rapper. He is always ready for a good rap battle.
