It’s safe to say that Isaiah Rashad is the next artist up to release a new project via Top Dawg Entertainment. After releasing a video for “Free Lunch,” the 25-year-old wordsmith unveiled the cover art to his upcoming album called The Sun’s Tirade.
The artwork (see above) features a colored drawing of Rashad floating in the air while steering his vehicle down below. This could mean that his music will be something fans can slab to in their cars. We are not mad at that.
The TDE artist also dropped a new single called “Park.” Over a piano-driven groove, provided by producers Park Ave and Dee Sanders, Rashad delivers a staccato flow as he warns naysayers to stay out of his way.
“Look at you timid as f— / And you holding me up / And I’m trying to be Nicki Minaj,” he raps, adding, “Rich as a bitch in the drop / Rich as a bitch / Rich as my bitch on the side / Hoe I got more than you know, hoe I got, look…watch.”
From looking at his Instagram page, it appears that Rashad is also putting the finishing touches on his new album. So get ready.
Isaiah Rashad’s The Sun’s Tirade, which is the follow-up to his 2014 album Civilia Demo, is scheduled to arrive on Sept. 2.
