Freddie Gibbs returns to the rap game with a vibrant new single called “All Day” produced by hitmaker Harry Fraud. The song marks the first release since he was acquitted of a sexual charge in Vienna earlier this year.

Gangsta Gibbs sounds lyrically sharp on the head-nodding banger, which samples Alexander O’Neal’s classic 1987 ballad, “Sunshine.” On the song, Gibbs raps about the ups and downs of grinding in the streets and how it put his dear friend in the bing.

“Yeah, brought my n—- home, threw him a sack / A few months later them detectives was taking him back / Known to f— it up, violating probation / Them people got you by the nuts when you stuck on the paper,” he raps. “Now it seems the only place we dress up is the court room / Feeling like I’m lying when I tell you, you’ll be home soon.”

There’s no word if Gibbs is working on a new project. The Indiana rapper’s last album was 2015’s Shadow of a Doubt. In May, Madlib said he was working with the Gibbster on the follow-up to their 2014 collaborative project, Piñata.

Since his release from confinement in Vienna, Gibbs has remained quiet on social media. There’s only one photo on his Instagram page of him holding his baby daughter. “New Beginnings,” reads the caption.
