PARTYNEXTDOOR is feeling some type of way about his ex on his heartaching ballad, “Break Me Down.” On the song, the singer-songwriter breaks down the issues he has with an ex-lover.

Over moody production, PND wonders why his ex is giving him shade now that he’s a famous figure. “Why you act like you don’t know me before all the Kates, Kylies, and Kehlanis, whoa,” he sings. “Why you do me this way? / Must be how it go when you crack the Drake code.”

To add more to the song’s narrative, PARTY posted a screenshot of an e-mail that appears to be from an ex. “I’m not jumping back into anything with you right now,” reads the e-mail. “I need major time apart from you.”

This is clearly a case of the ex — no shade to Mya.

PARTYNEXTDOOR is having a phenomenal year so far. The OVO Sound artist dropped his COLOURS 2 EP back in June, and appeared on Majid Jordan’s sultry tune, “One I Want.” Not to mention his “Freak In You” (Remix) featuring Drake is still a hot summertime ballad.
