Kehlani Pursues a Forbidden Love on New Single 'Undercover' [LISTEN]

Kehlani kicks off the new year on a high note with her new single, “Undercover.” The song is from her upcoming album, SweetSexySavage, which hits stores on Jan. 27.

Produced by Grammy-nominated hitmaker Charlie Heat, the song features a bouncy, acoustic guitar-driven beat and soft piano. On the tune, the Bay Area singers lamets about a forbidden love that her friends want her to stay away from. But no matter what anyone says, Kehlani is determined to get what she wants – whether they like it or not.

“One way or another, I’ma love ya / Slidin’ under covers / undercover / They don’t wanna see it happen, but we say f— it,” she sings about her secretive love affair.

Kehlani is preparing herself for a big year. Along with her releasing her major-label debut album, the 21-year-old singer will embark on a major world tour in support of SSS. The four-month long trek kicks off on Feb. 21 in Montreal, Quebec, and will hit all of the major cities including New York, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Chicago, Nashville and Houston before wrapping it up in Los Angeles on June 18.
