Bruno Mars has been bringing the funk to pop music with his fun singles, “24K Magic” and “Chunky.” But for his latest single, “Versace on the Floor,” he slows it down and delivers a sexy ballad that’s tailor-made for the bedroom.

The smooth track sounds like a throwback to the ’90s pop-R&B ballads but it doesn’t sound dated. Over electric piano chords, roaring guitars and digital drum sounds, Mars tells his lover to leave her inhibitions behind and get ready for some serious love-making.

“So baby let’s just turn down the lights / And close the door / Ooh, I love that dress / But you won’t need it anymore / No, you won’t need it no more / Let’s just kiss ’til we’re naked, baby,” he croons. “Versace on the floor / Ooh take it off for me, for me, for me, for me now, girl / Versace on the floor / Ooh take it off for me, for me, for me, for me now, girl.”

“Versace on the Floor” comes free when you pre-order his upcoming album 24K Magic on iTunes right now. The collection arrives in stores on Nov. 18.

Mars is also set to open the 2016 American Music Awards on Nov. 20, which also marks his first-ever appearance on the AMA stage.
