Boosie Badazz Delivers Thought-Provoking Single ‘Cocaine Fever’ [LISTEN]
Boosie Badazz is gearing up to release his double album, BooPac, real soon. On Thursday (Nov. 30), the Louisiana rhymer released “Cocaine Fever,” his thought-provoking single from the project.
Just like the title suggests, Boosie raps about the problematic issue of drugs that continues to ravage the black community. On the somber track, Boosie reflects on how drugs affected his family.
“I’m a fuckin’ 80s baby so really I get it / My cousin pushed the weight while my family smoked the crack rock / Hurt me to my heart my favorite uncle smoked the crack rock / Now his Super Bowl ring gone, for the crack rock,” he raps over melancholy productions.
Boosie then later confesses to being a drug dealer himself and not realizing the damage that he’s doing to his own community.
“I did the same thing, I used to serve my own people / Never in my head that I murk my own people / N—-s tryin eat hustle coke like it’s legal / 2005 alive Jeezy heated up the Fever / Now Boosie got the fever now,” he spits.
Boosie Badazz’s Boopac album will feature 24 songs and rap cameos from Lee Banks, London Jae, B Will and Yung Bleu. The LP will arrive on Dec. 15.
